Two Bouts Announced for 'The Event' PPV

DUDDY VS MEDINA
ON 'THE EVENT' PPV
Two-time world champion Jose Luis Castillo and middleweight contender Ireland's John Duddy will each box on the Pacquiao vs. Clottey 'The Event' Pay Per View championship event March 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Salvador Sanchez, nephew and namesake of the former world champion, will be featured on the international broadcast.
Bob Arum of Top Rank and Jerry Jones, owner of the NFL Dallas Cowboys, made the announcement today at a press conference in Mexico City.
Pacquiao vs. Clottey will be available on HBO Pay Per View.

10 Rounds, Welterweights
JOSE LUIS CASTILLO, 60-9-1, 52 KOs, Sonora, Mexico
vs. ALFONSO GOMEZ, 21-4-2, Guadalajara, Mexico
//Castillo, a two-time world champion, is ranked WBC #9. Gomez, ranked WBC #10, WBO #10, starred in the first season of 'The Contender' and is coming off a victory over Jesus Soto-Karass.
10 Rounds Middleweights
IRELAND'S JOHN DUDDY, 28-1, 18 KOs, New York
vs. MICHAEL MEDINA, 22-1-2, 17 KOs, Monterrey, Mexico
//Duddy, born in Derry, Ireland, is a very popular fighter who is a top attraction in New York City. Medina is a Mexican champion with four straight wins.

Top Rank will feature Salvador Sanchez, 18-3-2, 8 KOs, of Mexico on its international broadcast. Sanchez, a featherweight, has won his last six bouts in a row.
Also on the undercard will be Roberto Marroquin, 11-0, 8 KOs, of Dallas. Marroquin, a super bantamweight, is a young skilled fighter who strikes with power.
