Former light heavyweight and cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek (40-1, 27 KOs) continued his excursion in the heavyweight ranks with a hard fought twelve round decision over Olympian Jason Estrada (16-3, 4 KOs) on Saturday night in front of 10,123 predominantly Adamek fans at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Scores were 115-113, 116-112, and an off-base 118-110 as Adamek kept his IBF International belt. “I was prepared for 12 rounds, and pretty early in the fight I realized this is what would happen. So I had to conserve more energy, maybe be less aggressive than in my previous fights,” said Adamek afterward.
Olympian junior welterweight Sadam Ali (5-0, 2 KOs) outpointed Jason Thompson (5-5-1, 4 KOs) over four. All three judges had it 40-36.
Unbeaten super middleweight Peter Quillin (21-0, 15 KOs) returned from a year-and-a-half layoff to win a lopsided ten round unanimous decision over Fernando Zuniga (28-10, 20 KOs). Scores were 98-92, 100-90, 100-90.
Super middleweight Patrick Majewski (12-0, 7 KOs) stayed unbeaten with a one-sided six round decision over Anthony Pietrantonio (6-4, 5 KOs). Scores were 60-54 on all cards.
Junior middleweight Denis “Momma’s Boy” Douglin (7-0, 3 KOs) punished Eddie Hunter (3-2-1, 1 KO) over six by scores of 59-55, 60-54, 60-54.
Cruiserweight Patrick Farrell (5-0, 4 KOs) won a four-rounder against former Marine Jon Schneider (7-5-1, 5 KOs). Farrell dropped Schneider in the first ten seconds and again in the third round, but had to go the route, winning 40-33, 40-34, 40-34.
Light heavyweight Ismayl Sillakh (10-0, 9 KOs) scored a fourth round TKO over Larry Pryor (6-6, 4 KOs). Sillakh knocked down Pryor twice in the third and again in the fourth before the bout was waved off at :47.
