Orange, CA (August 2, 2010) - In just four days former Venezuelan Olympian Patrick Lopez (19-2, 11 KOs) will take on Prenice Brewer (15-0, 6KOs) as the 8-round co-feature event of ESPN2's "Friday Night Fights" at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois.

The Thompson Boxing Promoted light welterweight looks to continue his winning streak by putting the pressure on Brewer and getting to him on the inside.

"I am comfortable fighting taller opponents, so Brewer's height doesn't bother me. I watched a lot of videos of him fighting, so I feel confident in my abilities."

Continued Lopez, "I've been in training and keeping my body in the best physical condition possible. Brewer is going to have his hands full with me in the ring - I know he is a disciplined fighter but I also recognize that he has a bit of an amateur style."

The undefeated Prenice Brewer is confident that he will be able to dictate the pace of the fight and use his speed to dishevel Lopez's game plan.

ESPN2's Friday Night Fights is presented by Chicago 's 8 Count Productions in association with Vega Boxing and Thompson Boxing Promotions.

Advance tickets, starting at $31 are available through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com), the UIC Pavilion Box Office (312-413-5740) and the 8 Count Productions' Office (312-226-5800).
