UNDERCARD ANNOUNCED FOR FRIDAY'S ESPN SHOW AT THE BUFFALO RUN CASINO IN OKLAHOMA

Thursday, July 29, 2010 , Posted by 1 Punch Boxing at 8:59 AM

This Friday night in the main event on ESPN's "Friday Night Fights", IBF #3 rated welterweight contender, Delvin Rodriguez (25-4-2, 14KO's) takes on Ashley Theophane (26-4-1, 7KO's) in a ten round welterweight contest. The co-feature bout of the evening features a sizzling ten round super middleweight showdown, between up and coming prospect, Donovan "Da Bomb" George (20-0-1, 17KO's) and fellow knockout artist Francisco Sierra (21-3, 20KO's).

Highlighting the undercard is exciting world rated middleweight contender, Andy Lee (25-1, 15KO's) as he squares off against James Cook (11-3-1, 8KO's) in an eight round match-up. The Emmanuel Steward trained Lee, is ranked number thirteen by the WBA, and is currently riding a six fight win streak. The southpaw Lee has served as the sparring partner numerous times for Stewards most prized pupil, heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and Steward believes it is only a matter of time until Lee is crowned middleweight champion.

Also on the card is highly regarded 2008 Puerto Rican Olympian, Jonathan Gonzalez (8-0, 8KO's) as he looks to keep his perfect knockout streak alive when he takes a step up and faces slick veteran Abel Perry (12-3, 4KO's) in a six round welterweight contest.

In a six round lightweight match-up, St. Louis prospect Dannie Williams (14-1, 12KO's) takes on Springfield's Steve Mincks in a showdown of the "Show Me" state rivals.

Rounding out the card will be Rances Barthelemy (5-0, 3KO's) taking on Cody Harless in a four round lightweight match-up. Barthelemy, the brother of 2004 Olympic Gold Medal winner Yan Barthelemy, was a Cuban Junior National Champion, before defecting to the U.S. in 2008. Barthelemy turned pro in August of last year, scoring a spectacular 14 second knockout over Jamal Clay. In his last bout he pitched a shut-out over fellow undefeated prospect James Owens.

The show is promoted by Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing and Warriors Boxing. First bout is scheduled for 8PM (ET), with ESPN going live on the air at 9PM (ET).

Tickets are priced at $35, $45 and $75 and can be purchased by calling the Buffalo Run Casino Box Office at (918) 542-7140 ext. 2200. Tickets can also be purchased online by visiting TicketStorm at www.ticketstorm.com
