Guerrero wins close decision over Smith, Lane upset loss!

Top middleweight prospect Fernando Guerrero (19-0, 15 KOs) pounded out a close ten round unanimous decision over tough veteran Ishe Smith (21-5, 9 KOs) on Friday night at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi. Guerrero scored the biggest win of his career and had to work for it every minute. Smith scored a knockdown in round eight to get back a point deducted in round six for a low blow. Scores were 96-93, 95-93, 97-91.

In a very good fight, unbeaten jr middleweight knockout artist Shawn Porter (16-0, 12 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Ray Robinson (11-2, 4 KOs). Porter broke open a close fight by dropping Robinson in round six and punishing him for the balance of the round. Robinson was on his bicycle in the seventh as Porter stalked him. But, after that Robinson battled gamely until the end. Scores were 99-89, 97-92, 98-91.

In a clash of undefeated welterweight prospects, Mike Dallas, Jr. (15-0-1, 5 KOs) kept his ’0′ intact with an eight round unanimous decision over Lanard Lane (12-1, 7 KOs). Scores were 78-74 on all cards.
